Thanks to Rebecca Taylor for the photo.

SILVER COLUMNS ALBUM IN THE SHOPS!

It came out a few weeks ago..

'YES AND DANCE' OUT ON MONDAY!

You might want to buy the Silver Columns 'Yes And Dance' album IN A SHOP on MONDAY to see the album artwork i did in full-cosmic-3D-wow-really-real-life-vision! I'm getting down to the shops early doors. They are playing Dot2Dot (at the Thekla) at 12.15am tomorrow. The album is now streaming on their myspace HERE.

SILVER COLUMNS REVIEW IN THE NME

The NME reviewed the Silver Columns album, but used my 'Space Boys' picture instead of the album cover.
HERE's a better review in The List with a big picture of the album cover.

SILVER COLUMNS 'YES AND DANCE' ALBUM COVER

Below is the Silver Columns 'Yes And Dance' album cover i designed. I'll post up all the album artwork when it's released (31st May). I'm looking forward to seeing it in 3D real life in the shops.

SILVER COLUMNS UPDATE

1) I have finished the Silver Columns album artwork! It's been printed! It's out on 31st May.

SILVER COLUMNS VISUALS

Below are some videos from Homegame (March 2010) of Silver Columns playing their 1st ever show in front of visuals made by my Brother and I. In the 3rd video below, Johnny Pictish is wearing a 'We Believe In Danny Dyer' Breaded Goods T-Shirt i designed.

I'm afraid we aren't as organised as usual. Most of the photos are in the wrong order. It's just tooo much effort to get them all sorted properly. Oh well. All these photos were taken by us worms.

SILVER COLUMNS ARTWORK / VISUALS

Recently i've been making artwork and live visuals for the SILVER COLUMNS! The main reason why this blog hasn't been kept up-to-date. I'll post up stuff when i'm allowed to. It's been a lotta fun!

They played their first ever gig with my visuals as a backdrop at the Fence Homegame Festival two weeks ago. I'll post up some photos soon. Above is a still image used at the end of their set. They have some exciting London gigs coming up, check their myspace HERE.

Their debut album ‘Yes, and Dance’ is released on Moshi Moshi on 24th May. I've designed the album artwork. The first track ‘Cavalier’ is available to buy from 19th April.

SILVER COLUMNS T-SHIRT

I helped put together the Silver Columns T-shirts (as seen in the photo above, well not very clearly). I'll find out when they go on sale and post up a link.

SILVER COLUMNS REVEALED

The day Silver Columns got rumbled by Pitchfork. They used my 'Space Boys' image (above) for the news story. The NME also used the picture for their story. Also, my original pencil Silver Columns i put together have been posted on Nialler9 blog with news about the new single.

OLO UPDATE

Helloooo!!

I'm writing from MH's Pineapple Cottage (which is just behind the Pineapple dance studio thats been on the TV recently). Anyway, i had planned to blog all the recent OLO stuff that we've doing/plan to do/etc...but guess what? I ran out of time, i nearly missed my megabus. I burnt a cd full of our crap to bring here only for it not to work on the computer (a PC/mac problem i think). So this is all your getting til next week. I'll quickly round up what's what with a simple list. A blog without pictures is depressing isn't it? We'll make up for it next week. So here is the news..

> Fence Homegame 2010.
We play the Fence Collective Homegame this weekend in Fife, Scotland (our 4th Homegame!). We are on at 7pm on Friday 12th March in the Anstruther Town Hall.
We are also recording a few acoustic songs for the BBC in a caravan!
(JH & MH are also doing the visuals for Silver Columns on Saturday night).
You can see the full line-up and times HERE.

> 6Music Marc Riley Live Session.
We are doing a live session for Marc Riley at 7pm on Mon 22nd March.
We'll be recording 4 live songs (3 you'll hear live) and 'chatting'.
Listen in live on the day HERE.

> 'Back From England' Digital Bundle.
We'll be giving out our new 'digital bundle' some time soon. This will feature an mp3 of our single 'Back From England', 7 remixes of the song, artwork, and OLO extras.

> Myspace.
We've stuck up 'Back From England' & 'The Elastic Waste Band' on Myspace now for you to check out if you want. We've also added some other tracks from 'Bare Foot' and a few other bits.

> Recording.
It's going slowly, but we are recording tracks that will appear on our album. We might put some of these online in the coming weeks, maybe not? Who knows?

> King Creosote Support Slot.
We are playing with our boss King Creosote at the Louisiana, Bristol on April 9th.

> OLO Radio.
There have been two new podcasts made recently. Check them out HERE.

OK, well, the others are all tucked up in bed now with their ladies, i'm gonna settle down on the cold hard floor. We're off early in the morning to Scotland. An 8 hour drive. As i said i'll get on the case when i get back and get the OLO blog and this blog back to normal.

See ya!

OLO Worms

SILVER COLUMNS DESIGN IN GUARDIAN

A picture i made for the new band Silver Columns was printed in Saturday's (9th Jan) Guardian newspaper! I was on the radio and in print in the same week! TV? I'd like to go on ITV's 'Take Me Out' if possible please. It was also posted on the Guardian blog HERE.

If you remember i have designed their website HERE and put together some youtube videos for them HERE.
