Details on the move..

After 5+ years living here on this blogspot i have decided to move house. Blog grows up, moves out. It's time to move on. It was a good home for most of those years, although i started i feel differently when i started using Tumblr (about a year and a half ago). I found Tumblr alot more fun and easier to use. Blogger hasn’t changed much over the years and just feels dull and boring now. Uploading photos was a nightmare! I’m gonna leave all the blogspots as they are and will probably refer back to them at times. I’m keeping the ‘Beansonbread’ blog name, i’m just moving location. Hope you like my new house? It may take a while getting used to if you are an old Beansonbread reader. It’s a new beginning!

Just to be clear from the start i’ll tell you the plan - this blog Beansonbread is my personal blog for anything i do. Beanburner is the place where i blog about the things i like on the outside world. Hooops is my online TV/Radio station. I’m working on combining all these blogs so they sit together neatly on just ONE website. I don’t know if it’ll happen but i’ll try.

I had a splendid birthday as you may have seen from the photos (scroll down a bit) or from my twitter feed (right of page). It's been a week since the day so i won't bother going over it too much more. Thanks if you met up with me for a drink or meal, or sent me a card/present, posted a message, or whatever. I'm kinda relieved to get it out the way. It was a big one - the three o. I am into what i'm calling 'phase 2' of my life. I imagine (and hope) to have maybe 4 phases in my life. I should be 120 years old when i finally fall off earth. I need now to be more focused. This year has to be the year i start to get some success. GIMME THINGS! I want to be happy!!

At getting things done. I could have been a millionaire by now if i had done all the things i'd written on lists. Lists get longer and life gets shorter. Other people end up doing ideas you had years ago. I don't really know the answer to this? I'm about to challenge myself to get as many jobs done in the next 2 hours as possible. You'll never know if i did them all or not.

STOP & THINK ABOUT OTHERS THINKING

Somebody told me something today that made me think a bit about how people see me online. I mean I've always worried that people might think I'm boring (that's the worst insult) but they didn't really suggest that. Its a tricky one. I do trust what my subconscious beams out my mouth / my fingers. I'll continue on until my own voice shouts "stop". Long walks are good though, must go for more long walks, the subconscious likes to move.

Sat on my bed with a sore head having just watched the brilliant but quite depressing 'This Is England 86'. Thinking about what I'm gonna do tomorrow...shopping I think, a winter coat I think, a nice big winter coat. I love winter, it's a time for me to be happy while the rest of England suffers. I was thinking today about the last time I left this country, it was back in 2004. I could really really do with a holiday of some sort. Not a beach holiday though. Somewhere cold and different. Iceland maybe? I'd like to just go hang out out on my own in Iceland for a few weeks. But of course I can't cos I have no money cos im still paying off my last holiday. Circle of doom, I'm trapped!

QUICKLY ROUND ME UP PLEASE BEFORE WE MOVE ON

I want to get into the habit of writing something everyday whether it be typed on here or written in my sketch books and scanned in. I go through phases of wanting to write about what i'm doing and phases when i don't, i'm always thinking about the best way to do this. I'll try some new things starting from tomorrow.

OK, so this is a very quick short round up of whats been happening with me over the past few months before i start to post daily. Let's see what happens. I'll be putting more effort into everything, apart from my grammar and spelling. For now this is just a boring blog entry i'm afraid.

For the last 6 weeks i've been working. A JOB! SHOCK! I won't say where but if you follow me on twitter you'll probably know. It's a very very very normal standard job. The kind of job a 16 year old would do on a weekend for a few extra quid to buy a comic. There's not much to say really other than it's keeping me afloat just about. I start my shift at 5am and finish around 11am most days. This means i'm having to go to bed at about 9/10pm which is very hard, especially when my room is downstairs and connected to the living room. I don't know how long i'll be there, i'm gonna start looking for other work soon. Jobs meh! Rather than boring you with any tales from work i'll glue them in my sketch books and you'll have to suss out what's happening.

It hasn't really sunk in yet but just over a week ago we (OLO Worms) supported Steve Mason in Bristol. You can have a look at the photos HERE. Read what i wrote on the OLO blog HERE (pretty much the same here). In the Beta Band Steve Mason was a bit of a hero of mine growing up so it was a big deal when we got asked to do it. I won't go on anymore about him as it's embarrassing, i'll keep it to myself. I was soo pleased it all went really well. It was probably our best gig we've ever played. It felt like everything clicked into place, the songs were stronger, the lights looked good, we were more confident...i think this mayhave been due to the Pink Panther intro music we walked onto, it really put me at ease. We got a really great review in Venue magazine which you can read HERE.

The gig before this last one at the Bristol Harbour Festival was less successful. We weren't at our best and there were errors. It was a good day though. Photos can be seen HERE, the report on the OLO blog can be read HERE, and a review can be read HERE.

OLO Worms won't be playing live again now til we have something recorded. We really need to focus on recording. We have soo much to do.

We recently chose to finish OLO Radio. I'll write a blog about that later. I have a few new things starting soon. 'Hoops' and 'And Then...Aliens'. Watch this space. World Cup Squad's finished music is being worked on now. Hopefully it'll be posted up soon.

Big Brother is nearly all over. You won't believe me but i'm pleased. I love it but i need it to stop. I'm gonna post up a special BB blog tomorrow ahead of the final.

I really need Artie Byrd to come rescue me. I'm soo unfit and out of shape. This will change! Everything will change this week!!

It's my big countdown to 30. I'm thinking about it alot at the moment. 30 years on earth. WOW!

Today was pretty uneventful. Watched the last few episodes of 'Curb' series 7, which were brilliant as ever. I ate too much food again....I hate my body again. I updated this here blog with loads of recent photos and pictures which has given me back ache. I wanna write more but for now i'll start off slowly with badly written, boring entries like this. It's gonna be relaxed, not thought through dribble. The bad spelling and the bad grammar days are back! This blog has gone through alot of changes over the years. Here's another change. This is me now. Bedtime now (9.35pm) as i gotta get up at 4am for work. I'd like to go swimming now, or just have a cold bath. But i'm gonna struggle in bed. I'll probably dream of the sea and get eaten by a shark again. Good night.

BLOG LIFE IS BACK!

I'm unsure if there's anyone who still visits this blog but i'm sorry if have been checking over the last couple of months. I've been quite slack and not posted much, well i didn't post ANYTHING for a month. Now i'm all up to date i wanna get back into posting everyday if i can.

The big news with me is that i've moved back to Bristol!! I had a very nice time back home (in Buntingford, Hertford & Bengeo) but the time is right to move back here get and re-start my life. I'm in a rather splendid house, with a garden, next to a park, a few minutes from the Clifton suspension bridge. It's a proper house, i feel a little bit (just a little bit) like a grown-up. Now it's time to try and make some money! I should say a big thank you to all my friends and family who helped me out over the last 6 months and let me stay in their houses while i travelled back and forth. But the biggest thank you goes to me Mam & KC for putting up with me for all that time. All that cheese!! "You're out of control!!"

As you may have seen from the earlier posts i've finished the Silver Columns album artwork. I've been working on that and their live visuals since i last blogged properly. I'm really pleased with how it all turned out and looking forward to seeing how the album will do when it's out (31st May).

I wanna start drawing and painting again more, I WILL! I'll do something now in fact.

I'm making new music with OLO Worms, Carrie Vanilow, World Cup Squad and on my own (Speill Berg). Hopefully i'll start DJing out and about more soon. I've had some great ideas for OLO Radio.

Anything i'll do i'll post up here first obviously.

Suppose i gotta get a proper job too. Ah well.

Yep. Its true, bad blogger is back. After about 6 months of good quality blogging i've lost it again. I'm well behind. I've been busy with all kinds of stuff that i wanna post up here but havn't got round to doing yet. As you may have read from my previous post, i'm off to Scotland for the Homegame Festival for a week with the band, i'm WELL EXCITED! We leave tomorrow morning (this morning i guess). I ran out of time today. I was gonna get all up to date, it's sooo annoying. My OCD brain is finding this VERY difficult to deal with. I'll have to spend time when i get back caring again for Beansonbread. Remember to check out Bean Burner HERE. Whoever runs that keeps it in good check, maybe i should employ them here?

HELLO AGAIN, I'M NOT IGNORING YOU BLOG

Hello!! It's me. Yeah this blog does need updating. I've got quite a few projects on the go at the moment so i hav'nt had too much time to blog about them..if that makes sense? Obv i'm still tweeting (over on the right hand side there), so i suppose i could have. Oh sorry blog. I neeed to treat you less formally again. OK, i'll try and speak to you later today. If you see me anytime soon, ignore my funny walk, don't laugh, i don't have pant or ballbag problems. I'm really struggling with the 100 days of running. Running everyday for 36 days straight has caused my legs to give up a bit. I can still run but walking and even standing up is a problem. Looks like we're gonna be getting an exercise bike soon so i'm gonna run on that for a few days to protect my legs from the street pounding. It's been pretty tricky of late what with the ice on the street. I don't moan though. So many people be moaning these days, thought everyone wanted snow!? I've not really seen any snow recently, only on the news. I'm happy for the school kids, it's the best feeling in the world when school gets cancelled.

My Brother and i put together a little video trailer for the full blown 'Back From England' video the other day..well, it took a bit longer than a day to make. The editing was worked in around feeding times. At one point we were editing with roast beef and yorkshire puddings. You may have seen it? If not have a look. It's had over 200 views which is pretty good the band. The green screen kind of worked. We're not that good at making videos so it's gonna be a bit scrappy but then again i like scrappy. I like smart things, but generally for others. We were going for that Wizardora meets Magic Magic E meets QVC meets Jackson 5 kinda feel. It's a bit of a worry though, this full video we're doing now. We have 2 weeks to make it. We'll do it but we really don't want the stress and worry of a last minute job. I should really be doing OLO stuff now but i think i wanna get up to speed with everything else before i get started (i won't ignore you my lovely blog), but once i get started on the video i'll be like a machine! I've also got about 20 odd other things to do before our tour and on top of that i've gotta do an album cover for another band, and a load of other stuff i won't bother mentioning because i realise this is getting pretty boring now.

I made a half face pig mask thing for our tour. I LIKE IT!! I posted a green photo of it earlier if you wanna check it out. I wanna get a big green coat to wear too i think.

Went to Bristol again for a band practice. A bit up and down, more up though. 'Disney' our new song sounds really good. I'm really liking doing the lyrics for it. I'm throwing all kinds of crap in the mix, chatting about Poodles, Sharks, Ducks, and 'the old times'. Spent Saturday night watching TV. God it was depressing! ITV have an evening hat-trick of murderous shows..1. 'Take Me Out' 2. 'All Star Mr & Mrs' 3. 'anything...with Piers Morgan'. I think it was the worst TV i've ever seen..not even in a funny way. BBC2 & Elvis saved the day late on. Bring back the flying X! Dig up Elvis for Saturday night with the King!

Receiving good, promising news on an almost daily basis now, yet to see the results of the good threats but i'll let you know if anything happens. EXCITING!

Had a weird nights sleep where i thought i was dying. Then i dreamt i was in a horror action film. there were non stop killings and things blowing up. My mate was in a newspaper as a 'one to watch' for a made-up Caribbean island football/song-writing team in the build up to the world cup.

The expiry date on my muscle rub is 1997! HOT! Its all about the baths and the rub downs now.

I started listening to daytime Radio 1 again. We'll see how long that lasts.

Baths and books - 2 new things for James in 2010...wooooah!! hold the front page!!! At the moment im reading 'Renegade - The lives and tales of Mark E Smith'. Its been a good laugh before bed the last few nights.

Celeb Big Brother has started. I'm loving Steven Baldwin's weirdness. He's gonna flip soon i can tell. I reckon this year will be full of drama.

My lists sorted and stuck up on wall. Getting seriously organised for the next 2 weeks of stress! It should be fun making videos, art, music, etc...it never is..but whats the point in doing anything else? What are u gonna leave behind?

New Years Eve was a strange one. I was pretty much set on staying in but got bullied into going out with some of the family to a village hall party. It was like a cross between 'Shameless' and 'Pheonix Nights'. Everyone knew each other and we were the strange new folk who had to walk through the dancefloor to 'La Bamba' and 'Mumbo no.5'. It reminded me a bit of the 'throw the jew down the well' scene in Borat. Feeling quite scared i necked aload of booze to get through the painful first hour which included party games and audience participation!! Arrrggggh! The dreaded words AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION. Luckly i didn't get dragged up, but my Brother did! He was forced into an air guitar game which he lost out to a small child. Usual new years eve stuff happened after the games, 'Come On Elieen', bad Dad dancing, party poppers, and sausage rolls. It was all soo bad it was good. I actually ended up having a really fun time and glad i didn't spend the night in a queue for a club or a queue for drinks or in a queue pissing my pants for the toilet.

Dreamt about a little old lady who was really slowly painting the white lines on a tiny football pitch. i offered to help and ended up doing the whole pitch, but doing it much much worse than her. Spent time in my old home town Hertford..sitting in cafe's, drinking tea, writing notes. JEWELLERY & DELIVERY. 'Loose Women' just aint what it used to be, watched 5 mins then had to stop. It's dangerous having mince pies in the house. I'm well chuffed with the words ive come up with for our song 'Disney'. i feel it could be the 1st track on the album. "do ya OWLS! DO YER OWLS!!". I'm wearing a ginger ponytail..my mum just clipped it on me and told me to wear it for a gig. Shattered!..longest toughest run yet..ran from Hertford > Ware & back (bout 5k), been told my Nike+ might be set wrong so im better than i thought! The Silver Columns website i designed gets called 'scrummy' by D.I.S. Watched CHRIS DE BURGH on BBC News, exciting!! NEWS ALERT! ...this just in...i can confirm - it IS SNOWING here in Buntingford! In the bath i combed all my leg hair to 1 side so my leg looked like a tree trunk..as i lied there i thought to myself...i must blog this. I can hear my Nan & Grandad talking about my T-shirts i designed. "its a worm Bryan!!". Found booze in loft, taking it to London with me! All that's needs to be done now is, well all the background & erm, most of the foreground. Oh & to bring dinosaurs to life. Wow. I dreamt i was alive for my own funeral..it was a funny one, there were large paper monster sculptures & the mayor pronounced my name wrong..I was also in Waitrose having rolled a big black binbag full of stuff down a hill and into the store knocking over their stock...when i went to the till to pay for the ketchup and things i had knocked over i noticed Kevin Eldon was working there! Had some good cockney christmas banter with the fruit & veg men..i've got serious hat hair going on now. The old folks have got the Christmas songs on full blast downstairs while they put up more Christmas stuff. Running outside in the snow at night to sunny african music is MASSIVE FUN!! Watched Victoria Wood, recording Gremlins. The total spending for our new video came to £65. JH & MH are now on £1.75 an hour to animate and edit it. Listened to last ever SHH on 5 live..very sad. My big job of the day (that ive been ordered to do) > shoveling snow off our drive. its like in the mooooovies!! It's like we are preparing for a war in this house..masses & masses of food&drink in. Crocodileyears is home safe..i am no longer the favourite son, ha! This dubbed 'Pinocchio' film on bbc2 is sooo annoying. Its no tantrum or sulk..i got accused of THINKING about bossing Mark about..which i was'nt even thinking about!! wha!? I got told i cant enter our house til 1pm on christmas day!!?? what am i gonna do?? Off to London for a Christmas paaaarty with Slow Club & Pictish Trail, then some Oxford Street Christmas shop chaos, then onto Bristol to film the new OLO video for the new single.
