Enjoyed the gig very much. I think it went ok. We played more songy songs if you know what i mean 'Ice cream for crow'. King Creosote was brilliant! He played an hour and a half! We all got ver drunk and fun was had by all.

OLO GIG SUPPORTING THE PHANTOM BAND

TUES 19th MAY

Supporting The Phantom Band / with Ouija Birds.

This was to be our last gig for some time. In some of the OLO minds the gig was already over before it had begun. I enjoyed our set, i felt looser (strange considering i had big clunky dessert boots on?) and rather cheeky!! We played pretty much the same set as we have the last few gigs but with an added intro which at the moment is called 'Paths'. Not much more to say really. Bit of a poor turn out, wrong venue for it i guess. Wrong time too coming just off the back of the Homegame and feeling like that was the end of the series, series 2 btw (as i pointed out on stage). This was the official end of series 2.

I'm a fan of The Phantom Band so i enjoyed them..can't say the same for the other band (sorry).

SHIRT DESIGN FOR FUNERAL

SPECIAL WEDNESDAY 3 (Feedback)

As you may have gathered from all the photos i've been posting, last week we (Boonbeam & Old Worm) played at Super Special Wednesday 3. It was fun! There was a bit of a panic at the start when we heard there wasn't a soundman booked. A few 999 calls later they got hold of someone who turned out to be pretty good..and more importantly a nice chap (not that we know what we're on about..with sound..or human personalities). This was gig no.8 i think. There were the usual problems and feedback issues but it was probably one of our better gigs so far. Thanks for coming down if you did. It got hot and sweaty up there in our get-up (and we hardly moved a muscle!). We enjoyed the random drunk couple who stormed in and had a good dance..until we slowed down, i think they went on to watch someone better or drink something better. LH & BB continued the night by wondering round town and through student halls (we were invited!!) in full costume. Below is the set list for those of you that are interested in these sorts of things (i know i used to be). The set was mainly made of of new songs and re-worked old songs. 'Guess Who Garden' and 'Flakes' are the only one's that have remained the same since we started playing live.

Thanks also to the whole Special Wednesday team for putting on the night and asking us to play. Does this post all sound a bit wet?
