WORLD CUP SQUAD

I have started a new project called WORLD CUP SQUAD! World Cup Squad is a musical project. They will only record and perform music during a Football World Cup (every 4 years). World Cup 2010 begins June 11th. The goal is to get on Sky Sports News and/or record an album during the 2010 World Cup.

TOXIC WAIST BAND TOUR - COLLAGES

"Men who look like they only took Pritt stick, some old technology and a Red Dwarf DVD box set with them on their travels" ..was how Platform.com described us yesterday when they posted our collages (below). Before the tour they had asked us to document it with photos or a written diary for their website. We thought we'd mash all our photos together so HJ made some 'orrible collages (using only the tour photos) as you will see below. They also asked us to introduce the results, which we did. Woke up to the sun! The sun poking through my window, catching my face and heating it up, nice. I tell you what i really wanna know! When is the new Clipse album coming out!!? What's going on with it? Something's up i tell thee. OH JEEEZ!! 'Come Dine With Me' was sooooo painful tonight. There was a massive bust-up between two terrible terrible women. I wanted it to stop but i could'nt switch the TV off. Some guy served up a small bowl of fruit for dessert, that's not a pudding!?? Do u know what really scares me?? Brian Fortuna on 'Strictly Come Dancing'. what is he!!? Slimeball! Simon Cowell's head is even more box-like tonight. I do love flat-top-box-square-head, i love the way he refuses to sort that haircut out. I imagine every week the X-Factor stylists trying to do something with it but he won't have it. It's the final next week and i REALLY don't care who wins, i just want some drama, some ginuwine live drama, not the fake build-up before they sing. Stacey's "i just wanna give little Zac a good life" etc is soo tiresome.

Had a nice calm sunday morn. Listened to the Collings & Herring podcast with a glass of OJ and my fave cereal 'Honey Oats & more', you MUST try it, it's fabulous darling! Another sunny day in Bunto! Went Christmas shopping with my Nan which was quite good fun really. My Nan *shouting across JD Sports* > "NEED ANY SOCKS JAMES!!?". We managed to get through the crowds and pick up most of the things she needed, the most important of these things were my things of course, my Christmas presents! I got 2 lots of feet!! We (well...i didn't) bought a pair of silver running shoes with the Nike+ ipod gadget & some Converse. No-more-wet-feet-yeah! The best thing i saw while shopping was a 'Rottweilers 2010' calendar. For lunch i ate a MASSIVE carrot cake and pot of tea..yes i did eat the pot. Wore my new Christmas present (the running shoes) for FGRC run no.6. It was good to have a change of scene..i ran around Bengeo (up PORT HILL!! Bengeo boys know the pain!!). Caught the X-Factor results. I did enjoy Gaga singing in a big bath dressed as a bat then on the toilet pretending to be a cat, although disappointed Jedward didn't pop up out that bath tub. My Amazon.co.uk order is funny. Received an email with some MEGA news!! I am over the moon!..and into space...dressed in silver! Had a good play around with me new Nike+ running gadget and the website. It's exciting! For me, no one else of course..."HELLO READER!". I should have done this ages ago, still i've still got time to change my ways.

Made some very garish OLO artwork. Had a 'cowboy' dinner (as my mum put it) and went for 2 runs in one day! The second time i ran for milk. I ran to the co-op and ran back with a 4 pint jug of milk, it was comical. I'm running dangerously low on nipple plasters. My Nike+ running 'POWER SONG' (that u can have come on at any time) is Spank Rock 'Coke & Wet'. I am a fitness bore, sorry. Ahh bless the boy racers (esp this time of year). OMG they sacked Malcolm Tucker!!? Just watched the last 2 'Thick Of it's, superb as normal. That new Steve character is brilliantly awful. I think they bought him in at the right time, now everyone wants Malcolm back. I strangely feel really sorry for Malcolm, and a bit upset. They have got this perfect! Can't wait for the last one. Ate burgers tonight! I love Burgers!!!!.......An interesting blog i'm sure you'll agree.

Yes, so as we've just mentioned, we are going on a little tour to support the new single. We are calling the the tour 'The Toxic Waist Band Tour'. We'll post up more bits 'n bobs about the single and the tour over the coming weeks.

Towards the end of January there are very special Fence shows taking place in Edinburgh (22nd), Glasgow (23rd), London (25th), Bournemouth (26th), Bristol (29th) and Reading (30th).

This tour marks the release of OLO Worms debut 7″ single – ‘Back From England / The Elastic Waste Band (Low Fat Cut)’ – a copy of which will be given out to advance ticket holders FOR FREE while stocks last. You can only get a copy of this 7″ if you purchase your tickets through the Fence website.

The OLO’s will be headlining every night of the tour – except for the Edinburgh and London shows, which will be headlined by The 3 Craws (King Creosote, Pictish Trail and James Yorkston). Hailing from Bristol, the OLO boys make some of the most pleasurably bizarre pop sounds we’ve ever heard - trust us, you’ll love ‘em.

The Three Craws (King Creosote, The Pictish Trail and James Yorkston) will be headling two of the shows, in Edinburgh and London. After appearances at Aberdour Festival, and Green Man Festival earlier this year, these forthcoming shows mark The Three Craws first official headline shows – so don’t miss out!

Comprised of King Creosote, The Pictish Trail and James Yorkston, The 3 Craws are as close as Fife is going to get to it’s own süpergroup ... and it’s not even that close. Although, one of these croaking vulcans is a dead ringer for Josh Homme’s dad; another looks like Dave Grohl’s stylist; and one of them is the bastard child of John Paul Gaultier. Expect the widdling faff, and extortionate ticket price of seasoned pro’s ... and none of the timing.

OLO Worms will provide support for the Edinburgh and London shows – and will headline the rest of the tour, with a variety of Fence acts and special guests accompanying them."

Ok. First, the (X-Factor style) sob story..

I'm overweight and depressed about it. I'm the heaviest i've been in years. I WANT MY SKELETON BACK!! I've been meaning to get running again since i moved back to Hertfordshire but keep getting distracted by the weekends away in Bristol and all the problems they bring. I have been successful in the past with 'Team Goal' and less successful with an earlier version of 'FGRC'. I think the thing with running is you have to do it EVERY DAY to keep it up. There's no use doing it a few times a week. Something will happen, it'll knock your confidence and you'll miss a run or two, then Cadbury's will release a new type of Kitkat Chunky and you'll lose your fighting spirit. I saw THIS (through the Pictish Trail) the other day and thought that this could be the challenge i needed. I decided to do..

Enter Artie Byrd! Artie Byrd is a acclaimed American 'life coach' and 'fitness guru' who has been used by many of the (big..i mean heavy BIG) celebrities to get them into shape and re-boot their careers. Artie owes me a favour since i did create him in the first place. So he's agreed to move to Buntingford too to support me. Together we will run 100! Artie also has a talent for drawing which i'll be blogging. Here are the dates..
