DREAM (Of Two Halves)

1st half..i went swimming with Beyonce.

2nd half..i was under attack from movie cockroaches! Mark Kermode (the film critic), my brother and i were watching 'Terminator' and loads of wierd horror films when suddenly giant cockroaches were all over us. my brother and Kermode thought this was funny and kept teasing me. they were killing the cockroaches by placing them on my head and crushing them so the blood would run down my face.

THE FENCE HOMEGAME (Is Over)

So again i've been very slack in posting this as i got back from scotland on monday, but i've just been too tired (and lazy). woah!! what a weekend! the best time i've had in a long while. for those who don't know, i (along with some hangers-on and a little monkey my brother brought along for some reason?) flew to Scotland for the Fence Collective's 3rd Homegame festival. it's in a little town in East Fife called Anstruther. 3/4 days of non-stop music and drinking..i like those things. watched some really great music, met some really nice/odd/fun people, did some stupid things, and camped it up (not like John Inman..i mean i frooze to death in a tent). below are some highs and lows. sorry if you don't know what i'm talking about with some of them..i posted this else where you see and i'm not gonna go choppin' it up (like John Inman).

HIGHS..
* square sausage
* brilliant sets from EVERYONE i saw..too many to mention.
* gummi bako's big smile
* hot pants girl (aw!)
* romanhead's eminem..brilliant! backwards swearing too
* being asked to dj for the big town hall crowd before the saturday night gig (honoured), but then realizing that we only had about 10 cds in the wallet that i took in the car cos we didnt know we were gonna be asked. and then there was only 1 cd player..so u got lots of stop-starts. amateurs!
* mc quake's ipod poppin up everywhere
* breastfeeder during james yorkston on sunday (and some wierdo filming it)
* king creosote rocking the stadium and me having a little dance on saturday night
* band aid style singsong at end of saturday night
* HMS ginafore's woody allen impressions
* magners n ice (amazing cider)
* boring poor old vic galloway (radio 1) with all my tim westwood questions
* watching people eating massive deepfried double cheeseburgers (and being a bit jealous..actually wish i had gone for the deepfried pizza)
* delifinger being told he looks like james blunt by some old woman in a cafe
* local nutty pool shark. beat all 7 of us and then fell on floor pretending to have a fit. he kept saying "more aggression! less aggression!"
* getting random notes and drawings from people in my notepad
* romanhead, rachael dadd, and rozi plain for making me laugh loads
'the dour hour' will happen!

OTHER..
* mr bananas always out-doing me. hate that damn monkey
* someone bet me i would'nt pick Eidth Bowmans nose. good job i couldnt find her.
* being frisked at the airport. forgot i packed scissors..oops
* got lost in the back of a museum looking for the loos and finding lots of scarey (chip fingered) mannequins. dr who!

LOWS..
* coming out in a horrible wierd rash at the friday night party. note..pro plus and red bull together do this.
* sunday night/monday after party..getting lost and ending up in st andrews instead of st moanas (took 2 hours, 2 buses and a taxi to get back) then getting 30mins sleep being heading for airport. still dont know how this happened?
* hearing steve mason was about and not finding him (bet he's over the moon, he's scared of me)
* missing cat signs everywhere
* missing the england v scotland beefball match. sorry sven
* me having a few hissy fits with mates..ha! they love it
* my credit card bill
* missing loads of bands because of clashes and drunkeness
(little pebble, DTTS, amino people, hardsparrow, reporter, aidan smith, jon hopkins, and romanhead..seeing this sat though)
* biggest let down?...my blow up bed! boom boom, good night!

MOTHER OLO (Was Soo Last Week Darlings)

Well over due, here are some photos from our 'Mother Olo' night last weds. i'm soo glad it's all over..i i i was a liddle bit stressed you see. lost a ton of money, but i had a great time (maybe too much as i did'nt play much of a part after about 11). seems the people who came did too apart from the bunch that left during f*** buttons..but what do they know? nothing about drones it would seem. all bands were great and told me they enjoyed it. i writing in a real dull way are'nt i? you see i can't really be bothered talking about it now, we wanna get on with planning the next event..i'm thinking of sailing the sea.











just wanna say that this is the worse photo ever (i wanna leave them all behind and run into a libary and study)..

What a beautiful morn. i was up and at 'em at 7am this morn! above is a photo of me running around bristol "hello mr horsey, good day mr postman"..oh dear, there seems to be a poorly man covered in sick and kebabs alseep in the road.."are you ok old bean?" oh yes, i forget..it's bank holiday monday!! I picked up key no.5, it was for a boat that was stored along with 1000's of others in a dockyard. it was the end of the world! everyone was rushing around trying to unlock boats so they could sail out to sea, but no one could unlock the boats. terrorists and aliens stormed through the city shooting as many people as they could. i lost all my family and friends, so i laid down outside an old english pub pretending to be dead. a gun was pointed at my head, but was never fired. when i woke up i was in another time, not the future or past..i did'nt know what to do? i stumbled across a few people who had survived too..i tried talking to them about what had happened, they did'nt answer me and were only interested in ordering beers at the bar.

probably the cheapest and best video i've seen so far this year. that's all you really need to do to make a good music video..just dance like a robot!

sadly the new King Biscuit Time video for 'Kwangchow' really isn't up to stratch. it's actually the first time i've ever NOT loved something made from the hands of a Beta Boy. you can see the video over here (at the bottom of the screen). it makes me scrunch up my face.

Went and checked out You & The Atom Bomb last night. they will be playing at our night at the Cooler in Bristol in a few weeks (arrgh! time is running out) so i felt i should go and support them. very good they were to! i would call them 'Pop Tarts' if i were a music writer. one man however really stole the show, it's his 2nd appearance on this blog..its Jeff!!



his 'dancing' is incredible!! this morning i wrote a message to Jeff saying a was very impressed with his moves, he responded..

Jeff - "Yeah man the music tells me what to do and I follow it's every order, so if it tells me to dance like a crazy fucker, I'll do just that, or if it tells me to to mellow out I will mellow out. I am a slave to the music."
