I was due to travel to Bath to see her support Late Of The Pier but due to a mix up over the venue they pulled out and the whole night was cancelled. Oh well, it's gonna be re-schueled. Micachu did manage to put on a bit of a show at the newly opened Lanes venue. It's a bowling alley. They carry on bowling while the bands play. I like that, it cut out alot of silence inbetween songs. Hopefully we'll play there one day..ahhh i have an idea! If we do, i'll do it. Not telling you til after i've done it. Anyway, Micachu!! i LOVE her! Just recently got her album 'Jewellery', it's AMAZING!! It's kind of how i imagine my Speill Berg thing sounding...but obviously it won't..due to my lack of talent and my bad voice. I really like her attitude, she really looks like she can't be arsed..that's the impression she gives on stage but having heard the album and her confusing mixtape which are packed full of all kinds of odd sampled sounds that she's collected and squeezed into her many different styled songs, i'd say there's alot more to her. If you saw her live and didn't know the recorded music you probably would'nt be that impressed. It's pretty raw and messy (in a good way though). I like homemade people. So yep, the gig wasn't mind-blowingly exciting but i really enjoyed watching her (looking like a raggy doll with a old toy guitar) struggle through her set of odd little songs. Another little bird (or is it the same one? they all look the same) told me OLO Worms will be playing with her soon.
