For his soo-unfunny-they're-really-funny quickfire comebacks at Simon Cowell on this year's X Factor. "No Simon, it's yoooou!" I just have look at his face and i start laughing.

7) SJ Esau
For making the best album to come out of Bristol this year (beating F*** Buttons & Portishead) and for being soo patient while the Hanking Brothers constantly delay the completion of his music video.

6) Bradford Cox (Deerhunter/Atlas Sound)
For nagging me all year with two of the best albums released in '08.

For the infamous gold suit and for being soo god damn nice!

1) James Jackson

For making me laugh everyday! I've only met him a couple of times (very briefly) this year but i feel i know him as well as his own Mother. He's a pretty average guy who works with my flatmates at a web design place. When i hear the front door open around 6pm every evening i run out of my room excited and ask my flatmates "any JJ news!?"..i'm never disappointed with the response i get. They go into great detail (with their JJ voiceover..that does'nt really sound like him but REALLY makes me laugh) about the mundane things he gets up to each day. If i typed this stuff out it wouldn't be very funny, there's no way i could do it justice..actually if you heard the stories in real life you probably would'nt find them funny. It's a bit like the film 'Being John Malkovich' ..with the help of my flatmates, everyday i get to see life through the eyes of another man. I don't know what it is about the whole thing that tickles me, but it does..EVERYDAY i laugh! Proper laughing, not just little chuckles. Who knows when i'll stop being fascinated by this man? Who knows when i'll stop laughing at the impressions? Hopefully this time next year. But right now..James Jackson..you are my man of 2008!
