Great news!! King Kenny loves our new song! That's King Creosote don't cha know! Well chuffed. We spent most of the day trying to decide if we were gonna go with 'The Elastic (WAIST or WASTE) Band'? I wanted 'Waste', always have, it was me who came up with the name in the first place for god's sake! It went to the deadlock so we called on the King again and he voted for 'Waste!'. Big win for Hankins! I got some good gloating in later when the others found out.Soundtrack

FREEZE PUPPY - LIVE (25th July)
It was a gig to celebrate his album launch. His album 'Animation' is brilliantly zonkers!! If i'm completely honest..i don't really recall much of the gig as we started drinking early in the day when recording the OLO director's commentary. I love Freeze Puppy so i'm guessing it was all all good.

ARIEL PINK / FREEZE PUPPY - LIVE (17th May)
JOY! One of the most fun gigs so far this year. Freeze Puppy supported and was great as ever. Quite a different set to the times i've seen him before, more guitar solo's..which cracked me up! He's soo funny. It's odd cos i really can't work out whether he means to be funny or not. I've spoken to him quite a bit and he's pretty normal but when he gets up on stage he transforms into this odd wind-up pop puppet doing jolly tunes about naming babies. His album is soo good, i think it gets a proper release soon..you should check it out, it's unlike anything else. The last time i saw Ariel Pink (at Venn Festival '06) it was one of the biggest let downs ever! I wouldn't say i was a massive fan of his but i like his stuff and what he does and how he does it. This time he went all out! pulling pop star faces! ..and he even faced the crowd! He played aload of his best known tunes including my favourite 'For Kate I Wait'. People went mental and crowd surfed.Below are some photos i nicked off someone on Facebook (can't remember who to credit? sorry)..
* Ariel Pink - 'Thespian City' live
