JOY! One of the most fun gigs so far this year. Freeze Puppy supported and was great as ever. Quite a different set to the times i've seen him before, more guitar solo's..which cracked me up! He's soo funny. It's odd cos i really can't work out whether he means to be funny or not. I've spoken to him quite a bit and he's pretty normal but when he gets up on stage he transforms into this odd wind-up pop puppet doing jolly tunes about naming babies. His album is soo good, i think it gets a proper release soon..you should check it out, it's unlike anything else. The last time i saw Ariel Pink (at Venn Festival '06) it was one of the biggest let downs ever! I wouldn't say i was a massive fan of his but i like his stuff and what he does and how he does it. This time he went all out! pulling pop star faces! ..and he even faced the crowd! He played aload of his best known tunes including my favourite 'For Kate I Wait'.
