The 5th time i've seen them now and possibly the best. Actually no, that was the 2006 gig in the school hall. This came a close 2nd though, even with all the posh kids annoying the hell out of us all night! What is this with going out at the moment!?? I can't seem to go anywhere anymore without getting really annoyed by the young people who like the dancing, the clothes and the haircut. You'll say it's cos i'm getting old ..but why then did i get asked for ID twice?

OK! Before we move on with the new OLO stuff, we'd like to give out the last 5 copies of our first mini album 'Bare Foot' and 'Holes' the bonus disc that comes with it when you order it through us. So, the last 5 (painted and numbered) copies will be SPECIAL PINEAPPLE EDITIONS! They will come with (as did all the others) OLO action figures, an OLO poster, a worm balloon, and a pineapple flavour. All for just £5.
You can order one of the last 5 special edition's HERE (click on 'buy regular album'..it won't be the regular version though). Just to let you know, we won't be making anymore of these painted/numbered cds once the last 5 have gone. There have only been 25 of these made. We may put them both up for download at a later date.
Here are the first 8 painted 'Bare Foot' albums that we sent out..
HOLES
We havn't mentioned the bonus disc 'Holes' before. It was the secret prize we sent out when you ordered the handmade version of 'Bare Foot'. It's a collection of songs and instrumentals taken from 'The Bumblebee EP', 'Bare Foot' re-jigs and outtakes, Delifinger's download only tracks, & demos. Here's the tracklist..
1. Imagine We (BF Re-Jig)
2. R.I.P My Pet Wasp (Download)
3. Copybook (BB EP)
4. Flakes (BF Re-Jig)
5. Dragonland (Download)
6. Living Under The Mud (Demo)
7. Lighthouse (Demo)
8. If Only They Knew The Things We'd Do (BF Re-Jig)
9. Doom St-Steps (Demo)
10. The Third Hand (Demo)
11. Echo Sine (Demo)
12. I Know (BB EP)
13. Tortoise Shell (BF Re-Jig)
14. Dead Earth (Demo)
15. Heinz Bean Tin (BF Outtake)
16. The Dangers Of The Hip Flask (BF Outtake)
Here are the first 8 painted 'Holes' albums that we sent out..
Here are the first 12 posters that we sent out..
Here are the action figures and the worm balloon..
We had one happy German customer who took a photo of her action figures lost..
If you need any more persueding to buy, here's some reviews when it came out..
"The album drifts along with all the unquestioned sense of a surreal dream..it's a huge, slow-dawning success"- VENUE MAGAZINE
"Bare Foot always jumps back to surprize you with a sunrise, illuminating it's on way, travelling everywhere you want to go but always forgot to ask"
- DRUNKEN WEREWOLF MAGAZINE
"This album is excellent!" - SJ ESAU
Thank god that's all over with.

I SHOT SHRIEFF
Us Worms are all MASSIVE fans of You've Been Framed. It's the only time i really laugh, laugh soo hard..i can't breath. You can't beat a animal pushing a man over the edge. Some of you might recognise this video from the visuals at our last gig.

TORTOISE SHELL
Recorded live on Ian Gomm's 'Summer Holiday' TV show. By the way this isn't the fresh new beginning we mentioned in the last post, i think this was recorded on the day we fell ill and had to be re-built.
RUMORES DE OLO CRISIS
You have to breakdown before you can re-build. This was us having a bit of a mental breakdown a couple of weeks back..
Fresh new beginnings have begun! Proof will follow later this week.

SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO - LIVE (Feb 14th)
I took a step back for this one and admired from afar. It was a top night! Not seen a better light show for a long time. I'm not a massive fan of their's (i think the album's so-so) although i did used to really love Simian. Here's a video someone filmed from the night..
..and another one my housemate filmed HERE.

SAFETYWORD / INDICA RITUAL - LIVE (Feb 9th)
I was suppost to be DJing at this gig but upon arriving i soon discovered there was no equipment and no where to plug in the stuff i'd bought as back up. I wasn't too bothered..i had a funny little wierd set lined up..maybe i'll podcast some of it soon. Safetyword showed off more new songs which i really liked, they sound alot darker to me. It was their 1st Bristol gig without their bassist. Jan, the drummer how takes care of his job somehow?..he's not human i'm sure. They will be having a new album out fairly soon (can't remember what kind of date they told me now?). Indica Ritual were really interesting, i enjoyed bopping along to their zany pop! I didn't take any photos or videos but here's one i found of the two bands playing in Liverpool last year..
OLO PAINTING COMP NO.1
Here are the results of the 1st painting competition..

Saddlebags! I'm in a right ol' grump. Really wanted to go see The Cool Kids tonight but just found out i only have a few quid left in my account..and no one else wants to come with me and lend me $$$ (losers!). This wouldn't normally stop me but this venue isn't a kind place for the loner. Last time i went there on my own i spent over an hour and a half looking pretty awkward and shifty, pretending to send texts and having fake phone calls. I did end up ringing my mum and dad and chatting to them about what they were having for dinner. So to try and cheer myself up i've just eaten half a Viennetta...didn't work. Awwww..just realised this means i can't go see Justice tomorrow night either. I need Sara Lee!

I've just spent the last 30 minutes sat on the loo watching the carpet move around under my feet. It's day 1 of my two weeks off work. I'm taking the time off to sort my life out, so expect to see much more activity on this page. Gonna go snuggle my tiger rug and watch some dumb TV now. The booze beat me.

Just as one spiritual guru dies, another is born (yes ME!). I've just had my very first Transcendental Meditation session..on my own..i wouldn't go join up with one of those hippie groups. I've been thinking about trying this out ever since i saw this interview with David Lynch a while back. He puts a great case forward (you should watch it..you see how i'm trying to brainwash you now). So, slipped my slippers on, lowered my office chair, closed my eyes and began to repeat my mantra (i can't tell you that, it's the rules apparently)..20 minutes later i woke from my little nap and then began with the meditating. WOW! I saw it all man! I've gotta say i do actually feel better. My flu headache that I'd been suffering with the last few days seems to have gone. I feel re-freshed, re-energized, and have a sudden urge to open up my itunes and play this..haha! COSMIC! Gonna have my second session later tonight. You might never see me again.

BLACK KIDS / FRIENDLY FIRES - LIVE (Feb 2nd)
Venue - The Fleece, Bristol (Free gig)
Two of the most hyped bands around! Tons of cool kids!! Haircuts a-plenty!! What could possibly go wrong?
Black Kids..dull, boring, forgettable.
Friendly Fires..really annoying, lazy Rapture rip offs, bad use of cowbell.
Overall then..waste of time and money (actually no..i didn't spend any money, and got a free magazine and pair of tights!?)

ART BRUT / SKREAM - LIVE (Feb 1st)
Venue - Trinty Church, Bristol (Art Brut) / Native, Bristol (Skream)
Art Brut..funny as always, i bopped a little, never gonna change the world but great drinking music (i was well armed). Doesn't Eddie Argos sound like the Panto guy?
Here's a video someone else filmed of them doing 'Direct Hit' on the night..
After that gig i soldiered on..battered and bruised, staggering alone to the club where Skream was playing. After the hour long queue i got in and plonked myself right in front of one of the heavy heavy bass speakers for the full effect of his set. It were bloody brilliant!
Here's a video of him in Brussels.
I really like going to clubs and gigs on my own, you find yourself in wierd situations, and if no one else wants to come that's fine by me..just make sure you come and pick me up and tuck me into bed before the muggers get me again.

It's been a while. During January i..
* Thought about starting to meditate.
* Got startled by a pig on a farm who crept up behind me.
* Had a haircut where (for the first time) i managed to avoid lying to the hairdresser about myself.
* Got given a new clipboard at work. I also got a great new van to deliver olives in..then cruely had it taken away from me..still got the clipboard though! I wrote 'KING OF THE ROAD' on it.
* Witnessed a drug deal taking place.
* Went to Panto with my Grandparents (i am 27!).
* Had a dream i was going out with Cheryl Tweedy after she ditched Ashley Cole. To prove i was a better man than him, i raced him. As he was passing me i tripped him up and threw him in a river. Later in the dream i had 3 dinosaur babies.
* Had a big row with an estate agent called Caz..Caz!??
* Threw out (well..moved downstairs) half of my newspaper collection that built up over 2007. Next, i'll move them out the house.
* Had alot of fun watching old people use the self service tills in Asda.
* Missed a chance to meet Noel Edmonds. He was sat next to some friends in a bar, they texted my old number so i only found out the next day.
* Ate 3 onion bhajis while walking up a hill.
* Was left soo dissapointed with Big Brother Celebrity Hijack.
* Overheard a butcher talking to one of his staff about a Meatloaf song.."i wanna know what he won't do?".
* Have been really behind on the blogging front.
* Stole and drunk a Christmas present given to my Brother.
* Ate 3 creme eggs in 10mins.
* Bought a new website. JJJunk coming soon!

MY PANTO HELL (The Worst 2hrs Of My Life!)
I was forced by my family into going to panto (ha!) a few weeks ago. The reason for this horrific day out was that my Brother had animated an OWL (as you do) for the show. Before the show began he scared the hell out of me by telling us all that he had asked one of the ugly sisters to wish me a happy birthday during that bit where they call out kids names and get them up on stage etc. It wasn't my birthday, he lied and hadn't done it, but as you can see in the video..i'm bricking it! To make matters worse i had to sit on the floor because there wasn't enough seats. It was my Nan's birthday, she seemed to be really enjoying herself..near the end of the video you can hear her say "It's much better than Saturday night drinking!" Hmmmmm..maybe.

DIGGING UP OLD BONES (NYE 2007)
We finally got around to putting together this little video made up from clips filmed on New Years Eve. The plan was to play a set on the roof of our studio (Sherwood Hood) but we ended up forgetting about it until about 3am where we risked our lives by hanging over the edge (not musically..it was very gentle) of the roof and played til we got arrested by the cops for crimes against music and film making and stuck in jail (that's the reason for the late video..and the new concept album we'll be revealing soon).
Setlist..
Day Tripper (The Beatles)
What's The Ugliest Part Of Your Body? (Frank Zappa)
Earth Angel (The Penguins)
Flakes
Scream! (Spoilt Brat Freestyle)
Worst video ever?..

JACKED TO FUNK POSTER
Above is the poster i designed for the valentine's special 'Jacked To Funk' night (in my old home town..Hertford). For once i actually got paid (thanks Alex!). As you can probably tell from the poster, it's not the most original/interesting thing i've ever done..i was motivated by the stack of $$$'s that i was promised (no offence Alex!). This sees the beginning of my money making schemes.
